Highlights Include:

Issaran Field Southeast Issaran Project (Egypt) – Cyclic Steam Injection
This successful steam EOR project targeted 4000 cP heavy oil with an expected incremental recovery of 8.5% STOIIP at a steam utilization of 1.3 BW-CUW/BO. Gravity drainage was effectively applied by using up-dip injectors.

Joffre Field Commercial Application CCUS Project (Canada) – CO₂ WAG Miscible Flood
By September 2015, this successful CCUS project had injected 70.9 BCF (0.8 HCPV) of CO₂, achieving a gross CO₂ utilization of 12.4 MCF/BO. The expected incremental recovery is 13.5% STOIIP. Water/CO₂ slug ratio optimization proved to be the feasible and practical reservoir management measure during the EOR process.

Tanner Field One-Pattern Project (USA) – Alkaline-Surfactant-Polymer (ASP) Flood
This highly successful chemical EOR project began at medium water-cut (57%), achieving an incremental recovery of 20.2% STOIIP at a cost of $5.85 per barrel of incremental oil. The project arrested the precipitous decline of production and rapid rise of water-cut, thereby extending the field life by ~20 years.

Umm Niqa Field F2 Pilot (Kuwait) – Polymer Flood
This project is expected to achieve an incremental recovery of 19% STOIIP following the injection of 0.23 PV of polymer. The success resulted primarily from the high-quality reservoir sand and effective reservoir management measures including profile modification, and matrix acidization. The pilot showed that polymer flood is feasible for sour heavy oil with high salinity formation water.

Vizcacheras Field VI-286 Pattern Pilot (Argentina) – Microbial Flood
An economic and technical success, this microbial flood project achieved an incremental recovery of 2.7% STOIIP, with a cost of $2.87 per barrel of incremental oil. Integrated laboratory tests, reservoir engineering studies, streamline simulation, and in-course monitoring contributed to the success of this project.

Packed with valuable insights into EOR strategies, our reports provide clear, in-depth documentation on how specific EOR methods impact production performance, serving as powerful analogues for benchmarking your own projects.

Inside the DAKS EOR Module

The DAKS™ Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Module has been designed to optimize the screening of EOR methods to maximize recovery and address common industry challenges encountered when conducting EOR.
