Highlights Include:
Alpine Field (USA) – Fieldwide Application – Hydrocarbon WAG Miscible Flood
Expected to achieve a 39.8% incremental recovery of STOIIP, this project demonstrates that hydrocarbon WAG miscible flood through horizontal wells can greatly enhance oil recovery of the thin pay reservoir with weak natural drive energy. Hydraulic fracturing implemented in areas with poor reservoir quality also contributes to the high recovery of the field.
Barrow Island Field (Australia) – F31-Pattern Pilot – Polymer Flood (In-Depth Flow Diversion)
This EOR pilot achieved an incremental recovery of 11.6% STOIIP with an average well incremental EUR of 85.7 MBO and a polymer utilization of 0.823 kg/BO. The pilot proved that low MW polymer is valid for a shallow, low permeability, heterogeneous, light oil reservoir by incorporating polymer solution injection with near wellbore fracturing at high water-cut stage, exploiting an IFD mechanism.
Budafa Field (Hungary) – Budafa-West Area Partial Application – CO₂ WAG Miscible Flood
The first partial field application of CO₂ flood in Hungary, achieved both technically and economically successful with an incremental recovery of 7% STOIIP and a gross CO₂ utilization of 10.7 MCF/BO. The success resulted from natural CO₂ sources in the adjacent subsurface deposits, high standard laboratory experiments and development plans, and close control on reservoir performance.
Greater Burgan Field (Kuwait) – First Long-Term Polymer Injectivity Test Pilot – Polymer Flood
This successful pilot achieved all objectives with no injectivity issue, expecting an incremental recovery of 9.4% STOIIP by injecting a polymer slug of 0.8 PV. Time-lapse Special Noise Logging (SNL) revealed an improved injection profile.
Shuguang Field (China) – Du 80 Block Pilot – Continuous Steam Injection
This EOR project, targeted 84551 cP ultra-heavy oil, and is expected to achieve an incremental recovery of 20% STOIIP over cyclic steam injection with a steam utilization of 2.9 BW-CWE/BO. The success proved the feasibility of secondary EOR application of continuous steam injection in thin pay, multiple flow units, extra-heavy oil reservoir. Perforation optimization and subdivision of injection-production sequence are essential for improving steam injection efficiency.
Packed with valuable insights into EOR strategies, our reports provide clear, in-depth documentation on how specific EOR methods impact production performance, serving as powerful analogues for benchmarking your own projects.
Inside the DAKS EOR Module
The DAKS™ Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Module has been designed to optimize the screening of EOR methods to maximize recovery and address common industry challenges encountered when conducting EOR.
