Highlights include:

Bu Hasa Field (UAE) – One of ADNOC’s oldest producing fields, Bu Hasa has been producing since 1964 with a STOIIP of 25 BBO and EUR of 13 BBO. 90% of the light oil reserves are held in the Aptian Shu’aiba Formation, within a rudist-bank complex with a 720 ft oil column. In 1971 peripheral dump flood water injection began, followed by pattern water injection, crestal gas injection and most recently patterned WAG injection in 2005. Uneven early line-drive waterflood performance was attributed to unmapped faults/fractures, clinoforms and diversion around pond and channel facies. In 2018 the field was producing at 593,000 BOPD with cumulative of 8.6 BBO.

Habiganj Field (Bangladesh) – Onstream since 1968, Habigani has a GIIP of 4640 BCF and an EUR of 3434 BCF (74% RF). Here, a 230 m gas column is trapped in an unfaulted compressional anticline below 1256 m TVDSS. The main Upper Miocene to Pliocene Boka Bil reservoir consists of unconsolidated sheet sands deposited in a fluvial-dominated delta environment, with an average porosity of 28% and permeability of 500 mD. The dry gas is produced by a moderate to strong aquifer drive. Production plateaued at ~240 MMCF/day in 2003-19 from ~nine producers, supported by infill drilling, conformance improvement, and workovers.

Jubilee Field (Ghana) – Situated offshore in the Ivorian-Tano Basin the Jubilee field came onstream in 2010. It has an EUR of 703 MMBO and produces from Turonian Mahogany deep-water turbidite sandstones. Oil is contained in three vertically stacked pools within a combination structural-stratigraphic trap sealed by updip faulting and laterally by sandbody pinch-out. The phased, fast-track subsea development was supported by downdip water injection and updip gas injectors. The restricted plateau rate in 2013-15 was ~100,000 BOPD and has since averaged ~82,000 BOPD, maintained by infill drilling, well recompletions and acidization.

Sépia Field (Brazil) – Located offshore in the Santos Basin, Sepia came onstream in 2021. It has a STOIIP of 7421 MMBO and an EUR of 2063 MMBO, giving a RF of 27.8%. Oil is trapped in two pools within Aptian carbonates of the Barra Velha Formation in tilted fault-blocks with an oil column height of 585 m. Average porosity and permeability are 12% and 190 mD. The reservoir reached peak production of 164,649 BOPD from three wells, with a water-cut of 0.03%, in 2023. As of 2024, a plateau averaging 156,450 BOPD was maintained from five wells with virtually nil water production. By end-2024 cumulative production was 177 MMBO.

Yarakta Field (Russia) – Onstream since 1992, Yarakta has a GIIP of 1714 BCF and a CIIP of 83 MMBC, with an EUR of 743 MMBO, 1413 BCF (82% RF) and 49 MMBC (59% RF). A 21 m oil leg with a 76 m gas-condensate cap is trapped by lateral depositional pinch-out below 2060 m TVDSS. The Precambrian Yarakta reservoir consists of fluvial and estuarine channel sandstones deposited in a marine fan-delta system, with an average porosity of 11% and permeability of 215 mD. The light oil is produced by gas-cap expansion and solution-gas drives, aided by water injection, gas recycling, immiscible WAG injection, and horizontal drilling. Oil production peaked at 158,700 BOPD in 2017 while gas rate continued rising to 157 MMCF/day in 2022.

Yuralpa Field (Ecuador) – Located in the Oriente Basin, Yuralpa came onstream in 2003. It has a STOIIP of 470 MMBO and an EUR of 88 MMBO, for a RF of 19%. Oil columns of 290-410 ft, in at least three pools, are trapped in an overthrust anticline with a tilted OWC related to meteoric recharge of the aquifer. The Albian-Aptian Hollín reservoir has average porosity and permeability of 15.9% and 1000 mD. An infill drilling campaign led to plateau of 14,925 BOPD with a water-cut of 52% in 2006-07. Subsequently offtake declined, reaching 8632 BOPD in 2010. Further infill drilling in 2011 led to a modest increase to 8724 BOPD in 2012. By the end of 2023 cumulative reached 60.6 MMBO and the field was producing 5801 BOPD.
