E&P Treatise™ Deep-water
Reservoirs - Exploration and Development
March 2004 - Houston,
Texas
C&C Reservoirs announces the
completion of a new issue of the popular E&P
Treatise™ entitled, "DEEP-WATER RESERVOIRS
- EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT". C&C
Reservoirs has completed 97 deepwater
reservoir case studies. Each case study
is presented in a comprehensive reservoir
evaluation report that covers exploration
history, basin evolution and petroleum
systems, structure, trap mechanism, stratigraphy,
depositional facies, reservoir architecture,
rock and fluid properties, development
strategies, reserves and production,
recovery mechanism, reservoir management
and EOR techniques. These fields come
from more than 29 basins worldwide and
nearly half are in present day deepwater
settings. With our E&P Treatise™series
we also examine the "Lessons Learned" from
exploring and developing deepwater reservoirs,
emphasis is placed on the reasons behind
and the lessons learned from the success
or failure in drilling a deepwater prospect
or developing a deepwater field. We also
present new and original work by C&C
Reservoirs on the seismic expression
of deepwater plays, which has involved
the construction of synthetic seismic
profiles at deepwater discovery well
sites. The seismic characterization of
deepwater plays has been integrated with
exploration concept gleaned from the
deepwater reservoir case studies.
